Sneaking Out Pays Off

While I was at a conference yesterday, I managed to sneak out and get in a quick visit to K1 Yarns. The shop has expanded since last time I was in and they have a much greater variety of yarn and now they are even stocking the cutest fat quarters. Even since I was in Stockholm in January I’ve been yearning to knit a cowl and I came across a cute pattern by Jo Kelly Designs and also spotted some really nice glove/mittens by a designer Kristen Makes. I thought they would be lovely in some contrasting red colours (I’m still in my ‘Go Canada’ mindset after the Olympics).

I bought both patterns and the wool for the cowl. I’m hoping to get it started and finished in time for the weekend. I have a Sunday snowboarding date to meet! I had better get to it.

P.S Check out the recycled bag that my purchases came in. Very environmentally friendly. I secretly want to take it apart to understand how to make it. I must remember it for Christmas. I would love to get a present in one of those bags!
